Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor, known by the stage name Illbliss, has replied fans who said he took a break from the industry, saying he never left the art.
The Enugu-born hitmaker told On-Air Personality, Jerry Musa, on Instagram Live interview that those who think he left the Music Industry have not been paying adequate attention.
He explained to “Jerrydstrawberry” that, although he left the country to live in the UK for three years, he continued churning out songs, regardless.
The rap maestro also challenged the Nigerian Copyright Commission (NCC) to be more ruthless in its fight against copyright violators, and urged the Copyright Society of Nigeria (COSON) to put its acts together.
“Oga Boss” said the creative industry is still undermined by copyright infringement, emphasising that the issue of royalty must be addressed decisively.
He urged artistes to understand that their royalty is their pension and must fight for it in order to secure their future.
