Celebrities are supposed to be role models in the society, but when they start normalising immorality, the kids take a cue from them the result of this is an immoral society.
The lockdown occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic in the country has further exposed how dangerous some Nigerian artistes are to the kids.
Due to the lockdown, a lot of Nigerian artistes spend time on social media where their fans are able to keep up with them.
These artistes spend time with their fans on Instagram live session. While some of these live sessions are entertaining and serve the purpose for which it was created, others are disgusting and reek of explicit contents.
In Instagram live sessions of some Nigerian artistes, girls are asked to twerk in panties and also go nude as well as use sex toys to play with themselves because of a token that’s to be won.
Cautions have been thrown in the wind and these artistes forget that there are kids on these social media platforms watching them and taking everything they watch to heart.
There are those who have come to the defence of these artistes, saying the ladies in those videos were not forced to do so. Because the ladies or the artistes have the liberty to do whatever they like with their body doesn’t give them the opportunity to corrupt the kids.
As this madness continues, my advice to every parent is to keep an eye on their kids and control what they have access to online.
However, I would be naive to believe that these artistes would have a change of heart after reading this piece.
The internet never forgets, in a few years’ time, a lot of those engaging in these shameful acts will regret ever working this path.
